Answers to the most important questions about our service
Which file formats are supported?
For the instant price we need a STEP file (.step, .stp). You can additionally attach an existing technical drawing as a PDF. In the integrated 3D viewer you can also annotate threads, fits and tolerances directly on the model.
How do I get a quote?
Upload your STEP file to our price calculator. For standard parts, you receive a binding fixed price in under 60 seconds. For special parts – such as special geometries, particular materials or larger quantities – an expert prepares your quote by the next working day.
Which tolerances are possible?
We manufacture both general tolerances and tight tolerances according to ISO fits (e.g. H7, g6), down to ±0.01 mm. You annotate the exact requirements directly on the surfaces of your model when uploading.
Which quantities are possible?
We manufacture from single parts (prototypes) up to small batches. We are happy to discuss the optimal quantity for your requirements as part of the quotation process.
How quickly will I receive my parts?
Your parts are ready to ship within 9 working days. Shipping time comes on top: usually a few working days with DHL Express or FedEx, considerably longer but cheaper by sea freight. For urgent projects we offer express manufacturing.
What about customs, import VAT and shipping costs?
We show shipping costs as well as any customs duties and import charges transparently in your quote, so you know what to expect before you order. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Which materials do you offer?
We machine aluminum (e.g. 6061, 7075), steel (e.g. C45, S355, 42CrMo4), tool steel, stainless steel (e.g. 1.4301, 1.4404), brass and plastics such as POM, PA6, PEEK and ABS. You'll find the full overview on the Services page; other materials on request.
Which surface finishes are available?
Depending on the material: anodizing (Type II & III / hardcoat), powder coating, nickel and chrome plating, black oxide, sand and glass bead blasting, passivation, polishing as well as laser marking and engraving. The available options depend on the selected material.
How does quality control work?
Every order is inspected under the supervision of our German engineers on site – with digital caliper, micrometer, roughness tester, 3D scanner and, when required, CMM via our measurement partner. Every delivery includes, as standard and free of charge, a measurement report, material certificate and surface report.
Are your manufacturing partners certified – and what happens if a part is defective?
We manufacture exclusively at ISO 9001 certified partner companies. If a part does not meet the agreed specification, we remake it immediately – no discussion and no extra cost for you. Simply report defects via your customer area or by email.
How do you protect my design data?
Your data is transmitted encrypted and only shared with the manufacturing partner carrying out your order. We deliberately distribute assemblies across different production lines. On request, we are happy to sign your non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
How does communication work?
You receive status updates and notes directly in your customer area. If there are any questions or issues, we reach out to you proactively. After shipping you receive a tracking number.
Can I combine several parts into one order?
Yes, you can combine several parts under one group name. These are then treated as a single related order and processed together.
